Index investing, explained for where you actually live
Most investing advice on the internet is written for Americans. It talks about 401(k)s, Roth IRAs and ETFs like VOO and VT, which most people in Europe cannot even buy. The European Indexer exists to fill that gap: clear, practical guides to passive investing with UCITS ETFs and index funds for people living in Europe and outside the United States.
Who is behind this website
Hi, I’m Sergio Núñez Santiago. I’m a e.g. university student in Spain and I have been investing passively in global index funds since 2021.
I am not a financial adviser. I write as an investor who has spent a lot of time reading fund factsheets, tax guides and broker terms, and who wants to make that information easier to understand for others.
How we create content
- Primary sources first: fund factsheets, broker terms and official tax authorities.
- Real experience: where possible, we test brokers and tools ourselves and show what we actually did.
- Regular reviews: articles about fees, brokers and taxes are checked and dated.
- Corrections: if we get something wrong, we fix it. Tell us.
How this website is funded
The European Indexer is free and funded by advertising and some affiliate links. Read more in our Disclaimer.
